Why Does My Oulook Mail Go Change Automatically to Read?

Emails marked equally read when I open Inbox. SOLVED: caused by Outlook reading mail

as the championship says, when I open my Thunderbird to read emails all the new emails are already marked as Read, not highlighted. I uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird and it is yet not marking new emails in a bold alphabetic character, simply in normal calorie-free text, marked as read. I take given donation to Mozilla and I really tin't believe how difficult it was to go to this point in getting some customer service . Please tell me why this is happening.

OK, I solved the problem of my emails being read before I read them. I had completely forgotten that I had setup my primary email account in Outlook.com e-mail customer. I hadn't opened that Outlook email in many months because I usually only go there to see my Hotmail account. For some reason fifty-fifty though I didn't become to Outlook.com to expect at my principal email account, it was marking the emails as read in Thunderbird..??

I removed the primary business relationship from Outlook.com customer and the problem was solved. Thank you for whatsoever and all suggestions!

By far the nigh common cause is electronic mail being received on a telephone. Are yous getting mail on your phone? Does the problem occur if you plough the phone off and receive mail in Thunderbird that has not been downloaded to the telephone.

Practise you merely read emails for that e-mail address in Thunderbird on one computer? For case practise you access the electronic mail account via more than one computer? Do you access those emails via webmail? Is it a Pop or Imap mail account?

If you lot only access that email address via Thunderbird, and then the mail should be automobile 'unread' on download, only I wonder if in that location is some setting that could be effecting incoming postal service.... Thinking out aloud hither :) If y'all accept enabled the adaptive junk mail service controls, then everything will probably be going through the Junk filter controls, so lets start with that.

What setting practice you have for Junk in Options? 'Card icon' > 'Options' > 'Options' > 'Security' > 'Junk' tab uncheck : 'Mark letters determined to exist Junk equally read' click on 'OK'

I merely accept been reading mail from this email account from my one PC...I know what your proverb though considering I once had the electronic mail account setup to view on my cell, only I didn't like viewing them on my little cell phone so I eliminated the business relationship in there...I did see and then that if I read them on a prison cell information technology would marker them every bit Read on my PC, so I guess that isn't the problem.

No inkling what happened to cause this, I've been using Thunderbird and this electronic mail account for at least 4 or v years and this problem just suddenly started. Possibly its possible that someone has hacked into my email account and is reading all my emails only I have no idea why anyone would want to, there isn't anything special about them.
